❄️ Winter: Into the White
When the snow blankets the land, the backyard transforms into a winter wonderland.
The Aurora Spot: Our northern shoreline offers a front-row seat to the Northern Lights, free from light pollution. Grab some cozy reindeer hides from the shed, head to the shore, and wait for the sky to dance.
Pro Tip: Download the “Aurora Alert” app to make sure you never miss a show.
The Ice Swimming (Avanto): The ultimate Finnish tradition. Heat up the sauna and take a plunge from the pier into the icy lake. It’s a total “reset button” for your body.
Ice Fishing: Experience the meditative silence of the frozen lake. Grab an auger and fishing gear from the shed, drill your hole, and test your luck.
Kicksparks & Snowshoes: Discover the “Ferrari of Lapland”—the Kickspark (potkukelkka). It’s the fastest way to glide across the lake ice. For a deeper trek, strap on some snowshoes and head into the forest.

Under the 24-hour sun, the lake becomes your playground and the forest your sanctuary.
Midnight Sun Rowing: Use our rowing boat to explore the vastness of Lake Simojärvi. Experience the surreal beauty of rowing at 1:00 AM on a mirror-still lake under a sun that never sets.
SUP Adventures: Navigate the quiet coves and hidden islands of the lake. Pack a picnic, grab a paddle from the shed, and find your own secret beach.
- Biking: Pedal through lovely gravel paths and lose yourself in the serenity of nature.
Pier Life: Sometimes the best activity is none at all. Fish directly from the pier, or simply enjoy your morning coffee as the Arctic nature wakes up around you.
